Description of the research topic:

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a rather relevant topic nowadays. On one hand it can be supported by the high number national and international researches carried out in this field. On the other hand it can be supported by the increasing social and natural problems and inequalities caused by globalisation processes. Most CSR studies focus on the opportunities and practices of large companies only, although SMEs have their own opportunities and instruments to act in a socially responsible way. The aim of the research is to map the CSR activity, instruments, motivations, practices of SMEs (after defining the scope of companies to be studied /regional and/or sectoral/) by using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
