Description of the research topic:

Electoral rules and electoral systems across Europe have undergone significant changes, including due to the functional transformation of constitutional institutions as a result of technical progress or migration. The mapping of all this can be seen in the Hungarian system of relations, since after the adoption of the Fundamental Law the substantive electoral law was re-created, and the rules of the electoral procedure were first reconsidered during the 2014, 2018 and 2019 elections. International and domestic developments have created a completely new situation in the world of electoral science, so this research topic is currently interesting and challenging for those interested. The aim of the research: to put into practice the theories of electoral theory and legal regulation, and to investigate it as a result to reach new scientific results. Expected new scientific outcomes: throughout periodic elections, the products of legislation and policy-making are translated into practice, so research can be presented on the basis of not only theoretical but practical results. Methods used in the research: interdisciplinary individual examination, comparative research, law in action analysis.
