Description of the research topic:

The research area covers the region between the Mecsek and the Villány Hills of SW Hungary, inclusive the two ranges. During the analyses the geomorphic evolution of the study area will be analyzed and assessed by various tools including the generation of conventional geomorphic maps by using traditional and GPS-based methodologies. Similarities between the surface morphological processes and the tectonic activities of the Mecsekalja dislocation zone of the southern and southeastern foreground of the Mecsek Hills will be evaluated.
