Description of the research topic:

Physical aspects of educational environments together with social interactions constitute the sociophysical environment of teaching and learning. Individual and social self-regulatory processes are of utmost importance with regard to the physical and mental health of both the educators and teachers who work in these institutions and the students who study there. This broad research topic can be approached from different aspects:
1. Description of the environmental emotional self-regulation processes in the institutions makes it possible to identify the protective and risk factors that play role in health promotion and burnout prevention of educators.
2. We can unravel the environmental emotional self-regulation processes that play role in risk behaviors, social processes and school related self-esteem of students.
The two research foci may be applied separately and also together in the environmental psychological and systemic research approach toward institutional health promotion and community based mental health in educational settings.
