Description of the research topic:

According to epidemiological studies, one in four to five children suffer with a mental problem during some phase of their growing up. Most of the child and adolescent psychiatric disorders are chronic and predispose to substance addiction and comorbidity. Examining risk and protective factors in the prognosis of mental problems provides an opportunity to prevent the long-term consequences of mental problems. Our study is focusing on psychosocial factors (family and school environment, and individual coping strategies).
