The main aims of the research include Identification of micro-scale heterogeneities in the freshwater dolomite sequence using CT in oriented blocks, Quantification of heterogeneities and explanation of spatial variance in samples, Timeseries analysis of data, identification of allocycles, Projecting these to the scale of out-crop, Comparing small-scale heterogeneity cycles with those inferred from paleoecological data in the literature, Use the data to model the precipitation of dolomite in the lake, Define the extension and macrocycles of dolomite in the study area / any phenomena related to precipitation
