Description of the research topic:

Application of multivariate statistical methods (cluster analysis, factor analysis, neural networks) in well logging interpretation. Simultaneous factor analysis of well logging data measured from one or several wells. Search for regression relationships between measurement data, statistical factors, and petrophysical parameters.
Development of robust statistical methods. The use of the results of statistical analyis in the inversion
procedure for increasing the accuracy and reliability of estimation. Application in water- and hydrocarbon prospecting wells.
