Description of the research topic:

Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)/prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) plays an important role in the development of tumor metastases. PGE-2 is the basis of many antitumor therapies and can be a useful target in the diagnosis of metastases by positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. The aim of the work is to synthesize PGE2-specific Gallium-68 (68Ga)-labeled cyclodextrins, investigate their tumor-targeting properties and in vivo biodistribution.
