Description of the research topic:

Research in the past decade has revealed that activation of the innate immune system can
result in enhanced responsiveness to subsequent stimuli. This process has been termed
‘trained immunity’. The aim of this project is to investigate the molecular mechanism of this
phenomenon in various human primary cell types.
