Description of the research topic:
The candidate will investigate the dynamic response of boring tool with large overhang. The candidate will perform a detailed literature review on the topic of damping mechanizms of machining tools, and will create the appropriate nonlinear mechanical and mathematical modells which are going to be analysed by the means of the theory of nonlinear differential equations.
