Description of the research topic:

A természettudományokban több jelenség kapcsán is megfigyelték, hogy bizonyos anyagok koncentrációjának változása a várt diffúzív dinamika helyett ettől eltér, szuper-, illetve szubdiffúzív.
Az ilyen jelenségek modellje egy olyan parciális differenciálegyenlet, ahol a térbeli differenciáloperátor törtrendű. Habár az utóbbi évtizedben többféle numerikus módszert is kidolgoztak ezen feladatok megoldásának numerikus közelítésére, több részlet további fejlesztésre szorul.
