Description of the research topic:

Reasons of theme-selection:

In the past years it is heard more and more that the African states facing civil wars and other challenges spend larger amount of money for the trans- and rearmament of the of their armed and law and enforcement forces. The made efforts primarily to procure these for foreign countries (the United States, Germany, France, China, Turkey, Brazil, India, Iran, etc.), but there are states like South Africa or Egypt, which have their own war industry capabilities, as well as they try to enlarge them and take larger and larger role in the not only in the African, but also on the international markets. This however has serious effect on the security of the African continent, but on the international community as well.
Aims:
Introducing and describing the armed forces of the African states, their preparedness, level of equipment, possible military background, capacity. Outlining those countries outside of the continent which export weaponry and other military industry supplies to the African countries, the economic cooperation, the methods of the set-off of the weapons’ prices. We take into consideration with great care the question of how the foreign actors use their „transporting status” for the influencing of the given countries, regions, in fact the internal and foreign policy of the continent. as well as what impact do they have on the security of African countries, on the various conflicts. Examining the extent of possibilities our country or other smaller states have in the African war industry, which are those areas where it is possible to create cooperation based on mutual benefits.
