Description of the research topic:
We are investigating in humans the visual, auditory and multisensory guided associative learning, which needs critically the normal function of the basal ganglia and the hippocampus. During the psychophysical test, 64 channel EEG recordings will be performed in order to investigate the connected cortical activity in healthy humans. Furthermore, we are investigating the psychophysical and electrophysiological alterations in infants, adolescents and adult patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders (migraine, borderline personality disorder, OCD, Touerette Syndrom) in associative learning.
