Description of the research topic:

The aim of this topic is to analyze the educational system from the aspect of gender research. The theoretical framework can lead us to the gender roles, the change in the gender roles (tradtitional, modern and mixed), the modernization process and the external contexts which can shape the women’s lifepath and career choices (the features of households, labour-market e.g.). Within the framework of this topic students can compare tha male and female subsamples at various level of educational system, too. Different research methods can be used: quantitative and qualitative techniques as well (interviews, survey etc.) or it is possible to combine them. Location of the analysis: students can conduct local, nationwide and comparative research projects.
