Description of the research topic:
„Hidden” markets in housing sector before the regime change (1990). Market-based transactions in husing and its spatial consequences. Privatisation process of tenancy housing stock after 1990, dominance of properties. Building new houses – its inner structure and spatial inequalities. The effect of governmentel policies on housing markets. Global/continental scaled process of financialisation and its impact on housing markets (e.g. through crediting process). Housing cycles after the regime change. Spatial processes in different geographical scales after 1990. The global crisis and the Hungarian housing market. The transformation of spatial structure at the period of regeneration in housing markets. The effect of large-scaled local/regional investments on housing markets.
