Description of the research topic:
The identification of lifestyle and behavioral factors involved in the development of chronic diseases determining the health of the population plays an important role in the prevention of these diseases. The impact of chronic diseases on the quality of life is also important, which will be increasingly highlighted by the increase in life expectancy. The research done by epidemiological and sociological methods is aimed to investigate some chronic diseases according to the above-mentioned considerations and to use the results to prevent and monitor the diseases (e.g. to help incorporate quality of life measurements into clinical practice).
