Description of the research topic:
The topic focuses on health literacy, adherence, self efficacy and technology acceptance of diabetic patients, as well as with the effects of these on disease management. Both the characteristics of these constructs and their relations are explored on this specific sample of patients. Furthermore, their effects on patients' subjective and objective health status, as well as on the efficacy of patient care is dealt with. We uncover the patients' those fears and motivations which facilitate or hinder the usage of new technologies. Doing research on this topic with a Hungarian sample involves the validation and development of questionnaires.
