Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is a severe syndrome of neonatology with profound impact on public health. The major aim of the project is the establishment of a translational HIE model in newborn pigs that is appropriate for studying the pathophysiology of neuronal injury and also allows the testing of various neuroprotective treatments
