Description of the research topic:
Structural data on folding and arrangement of proteins embedded into, or
adsorbed onto biomembranes reduce their conformational space. Our
objective is to develop an algorithm that can handle such data, mostly
from our spectroscopic measurements, in a unified way and in a
simplified protein representation. These studies, funded by various
sources, are aimed at the three representative classes of membrane
proteins, such as: trans-membrane alpha-helix and beta-barrel proteins
and water-soluble protein, which functionally interact with biomembranes.
