Description of the research topic:
This research area focuses on the role of leadership in the formation of citizens political preferences through a dynamic approach of political process. It includes theoretical / institutional and/or empirical problems, like the followings: what kind of means do politicians have to shape voters’ political preferences and to gain electoral support? Is the manipulation of voters’ preferences unavoidable in democratic political competition? Are governments in democracies more responsive than authoritarian regimes?
