Description of the research topic:

Despite linguistic similarities, the prosody of romance languages may exhibit marked differences in some suprasegmental characteristics such as rhythm, speech tempo, stress or even intonation. The planned research can focus on different romance languages, but it can also examine the prosodic features of different dialects within a romance language.
