BTEX, PAH and short chain halogenated hydrocarbon compounds are frequent pollutants not only in Hungary, but world-wide. In most cases bioremediation is the economical and smallest ecological footprint procedure of choice. It can be stated that there are no universally applicable solutions, each new site constitutes a new challenge for optimization, but there is a need for novel microbes, and technologies too. We offer participation in laboratory analyses (strain isolation, inoculum culture isolation, and -preparation, microcosm studies), in pilot experiments on site, and in interventions (inoculation, monitoring, direction
