Description of the research topic:
The primary research area of the candidate is the computational investigations of peptides (e.g. amyloid-β peptide), proteins and neuroprotective compounds related to the Alzheimer's disease (AD). In the frame of the simulations, the candidate can examine the molecular background of the toxicity of peptides and proteins involved in AD as well as the interaction with drug candidate molecules. These computational and simulation studies can deepen our understanding of the experimental results or they can help in the clarification of different potential biological pathways.
