Abbreviation of location of studies: A/131

Description of the research topic:

Plant derived bioactive substances with immunomodulator effect may improve the efficiency of broiler production, fattening of livestock. The increased expression of molecular markers, related to immune status, such as interleukins, interferon gamma contribute to a good health status and improved animal performance.
Feeding trials will be conducted with plant extracts on fattening animals and organoleptic properties, quality parameters of the product will be evaluated.
Change of gene and protein expression, induced by bioactive compounds of feed, will be quantified in animal tissues such as interleukin 1ß, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 18 and interferon gamma. Molecular genetic tests will be applied to detect the shift in the intestinal microbiome.
