Description of the research topic:

The analyses of the effectiveness of the tools and methods applied in computational problem solving and in teaching informatics. The comparison of the different typologies of metacognitive problem solving approaches, the application of the approaches on the different levels of these typologies. Developing measuring tools and measuring the effectiveness of methods applied in traditional and non-traditional programming environments. Testing and analyzing the different levels of knowledge of students and teachers of informatics in computer problem solving on the different levels of education, from primary to tertiary education.
