Description of the research topic:
Legal epidemiology is the scientific study of law as a factor in the cause, distribution and prevention of disease and injury in a population. Three pillars of the legal epidemiology are the legal prevention/control, legal aetiology, and policy surveillance.
Member States of the European Union have passed several regulations defining the oral health monitoring system, yet it is not clear how and to what extent these laws help healthcare and public health purposes. The goal of this research project is to perform legal assessment of laws/policies related to oral health monitoring in the member states of the European Union.
