Abbreviation of location of studies: BME

Description of the research topic:

Near critical and suprcritical fluids are applied already for various processes in industrial scales and a wide range of possible future applications were already demonstrated in the laboratories. However, modelling and process simulation of the near critical and supercritical systems is not completely understood and available. The aim of the research topic is to support the simulation developments by supplying suitable phase equilibrium data. The PhD fellow will develop a methods fulfilling these needs, including: measuring the phase equilibrium and solublity properties as function of the pressure, temperature and avarage composition in liquid and supercritical carbon dioxide, estimation of missing parameters (e.g. critical temperature and pressure of the compounds), selection of promissing EOSs, calculation binary interaction parameters and verifying the calsulated phase equilibrium data experimentally.
