Description of the research topic:

There is a growing interest in the research of chemical reactions inside carbon nanotubes serving as nanochambers. Annealing of the nanotube filled with fullerenes or smaller organic molecules can result of the formation of various structures, depending on the experimental conditions: inner tubes, nanoribbons etc. Our goal is to perform molecular dynamics calculations for the study of processes in nanochambers. The work will be done in cooperation with experimental colleagues.

Required language skills: English
Further requirements: 
Basic knowledge of quantum physics, molecular physics and solid state physics. Computational skills in programming
