Location of studies (in Hungarian): MTA Wigner Research Centre for Physics
Abbreviation of location of studies: BME

Description of the research topic:

The successful candidate will work on model calculations of pion-nucleon collisions based on effective Lagrangians. These processes are studied experimentally by the HADES collaboration at GSI (Darmstadt, Germany). Our aim is to provide predictions directly comparable to experimental results. We are collaborating with members of HADES, who use our results as event generators for simulations of future experiments. The successful candidate can participate in this project too, which means that he/she would carry out part of his/her research at IPN Orsay, France.

Required language skills: english
Further requirements:
The candidate should understand how to calculate Feynman graphs.

Number of students who can be accepted: 1

Deadline for application: 2018-05-31
