Location of studies (in Hungarian): ELTE Institute of Chemistry
Abbreviation of location of studies: ELTE

Description of the research topic:

Astrophysical analogue binary and ternary ices relevant to Jupiter’s atmosphere and to Trans Neptunian Object (TNO) will be prepared on a low temperature substrate. The ices, the ices after irradiation, and the species released to gas phase upon the heating of these ices will be characterized and analyzed spectroscopically. The project will help to understand the formation of novel molecular species under extreme conditions. The candidate will be involved in construction of new experimental setups, he/she has to carry out complex spectroscopic measurements, and analyze the spectra by carrying out quantum chemical computations.
