Description of the research topic:

A natural soil surface operated upon by a surface vehicle will typically be compressed and deformed because of the weight of the machinery passing into the soil through its wheels or tracks. Soil compaction reduces pore space and closely packs particles in the soil and alters its physical properties. soil compaction has undesirable effects, as increased energy is required to till the soil. Soil compaction at depth may result in forming a compact, sub-layer called a hard pan, which affects soil drainage, infiltration, root penetration, aeration and utilization of nutrients in soil.

The aims of the research work are to measure the pressure sinkage characteristic of inhomogeneous soil in the finite half space by:
1- Perform tests of soil will be in the laboratory and cone penetrometer device and bevameter will be used.
2- Experiment various soil depth versus various of diameter of plate of tester, density of soil and moisture of soil
3- Draw the curve that explain the relationship of pressure and sinkage of soil
