Description of the research topic:

Palladium and platinum complexes of achiral and chiral monophospha- and diphospha-crown ethers will be synthesised and fully characterised. The elementary reactions in the coordination sphere such as substitutions and insertions will be investigated. The 'preformed' complexes and catalysts formed 'in situ' will be tested in asymmetric hydroformylation and coupling reactions.

1 PhD student (with good knowledge in analytical and synthetic chemistry) is expected.
