Description of the research topic:
The two dimensional materials provides an excellent possibility to study the internal degree of freedom of charges and the topological properties of the electronic band structure. Prominent examples for such materials
are the transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDC) that could play important role in application since they have large semiconductor gap and strong spin-orbit coupling.
In the theoretical works our aim is to study the Josephson effect, Berry phase, the topological invariants and the non-equilibrium processes.
