Description of the research topic:
One of the greatest tasks for the actors of tourism of the 21st century is to understand and to adapt themselves to the motivations, decision making aspects of the consumer, seasoned in the dynamic markets. Concerning the international and domestic trends of tourism influencing today’s tourism industry the change and the new tendencies of the behaviour of the consumer, the tourist fulfil a more and more decisive role in the formation and transformation of tourism. Today the consumer behaviour megatrends show the characteristics of the trends towards acceleration and the counter trends towards deceleration side by side. According to our interpretation the megatrends supply the successful business models based on trends and counter trends at the same time. The research topic focuses on the consumer trend impacts on international and domestic tourism and the related opportunities for competitive tourism product development.
