Relationships between social problem solving (SPS) and avoidance. Theoretical background of avoidance as a SPS style. Characteristics of avoidance in childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Moderator and mediator variables in connection with avoidance style. Avoidance as a process: positive and negative dimensions of avoidance (PANDA). Research methods of avoidance.
