Description of the research topic:

1. The Connection Between Religion and Law from Antiquity to the Present
The effects of religion on the state law from antiquity to the present day. The theological foundations of the church law. The connections between the church and the state law. The state regulations of practice of religion from antiquity to the present day. The historical development of the legal position of the different churches.

2. The Development of Roman Law in Antiquity
The development of certain legal institutions in Rome from the archaic period to the age of Justinian. The way of thinking of the Roman lawyers. The problems of lawmaking and law application in ancient Rome.

The clarification of the topic will be concluded according to the research plan discussed by the applicants and supervisors.
