Twentieth-century American fiction and short fiction; especially contemporary Latino literature (Chicana/o, Puerto Rica, Dominican-American, Mexican American); multiculturalism vs. American national identity, narrative techniques, experimentalism. Possible frameworks: ethnic-, postethnic -, cultural -, and gender studies.
