Description of the research topic:
The subject of the doctoral dissertation can be the analysis of cultural products existing in various medial forms. This can mean the investigation of adaptations from written narratives into motion picture, but also the analysis of texts intended for series (such as television series, film series, or the diffusion of a narrative created in a certain medium),
and also the examination of those contemporary transmediatic textual universes established in terms of media convergence that are based not on adaptation but on the expansive logic of the fictional world created by more and equal media. In the case of the last, it is particularly important to investigate the active, universe-building function of recipients (fan fiction).
