Description of the research topic:

The rhetorical and genre historical aspects of 16-18th century Hungarian and European literature of piety (prayers, sermons, polemics and memoirs) are worth approaching from an intellectual historical and a historical anthropological point of view. Since during the formation of his/her topic the candidate will also encounter textological questions, the interdisciplinary research may be built on the publication of printed texts and/or manuscripts.
