Description of the research topic:

Biological diversity has declined considerably throughout the world resulting in mosaic landscapes. The spatial distribution of organisms in such habitat complexes is influenced by numerous factors and presumably also by the complex interactions among them. We investigate these patterns using ecological and molecular methods.
