Description of the research topic:
The antimitotic therapy is complicated and has numerous side effects. There is a consensus that we need to identify more efficient compounds to defend against fungal infections. The understanding of the pathogenesis and virulence of the opportunistic fungal pathogens could help us to find new targets for antimitotic therapy. The aim of this PhD project is to develop a new and useful mutant library in fungal pathogens and use this collection to identify new virulence factors.
