Description of the research topic:
Soil is one of the most important natural resource of Hungary. Thanks to the continuous and forever increasing anthropogenic effects the soils of the world are extremely degraded, their quality, thickness and areal distribution is equally severely decreasing. The soil research is basically concentrating on agricultural and forest areas. Analyses of the close-to-natural, and protected areas and the intensive areas nearby and the research of their interactions is not wide spread, we lack information. The basic assumption is that if an area is already protected, there is no need to pay special attention on their soil protection. The research call wishes to fulfill this gap. The research is concentrating on field experiences, providing basic data and partly new scientific results on the soil-water-nature conservation system.
