Description of the research topic:
The current economic structures follow the linear economic approach, which is based on the principle of "take-make-dispose" or even ”taking-producing-disposing” principle, which does not support the system of sustainability of resources and the operation of the material circulation. Linear economies are mainly based on processes that prefer large quantities of product production and low production costs. A significant part of the European research on sustainability is today focused on the circular transformation of linear systems, most of which are in the sectors of relevant research that are coupled with the greatest environmental demages. Due to unidirectional processes, the production of the negative externalities is the most significant. Linear-circular transformation also focuses on horticultural production as a result of the production of fresh fruits and vegetables, and therefore research in this area has been a top priority in recent years. Investigations and transformation processes can only be directed to the transformation by thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the processes. An essential prerequisite for this is the creation and maintenance of BigData databases related to the area. The main aim of the research program is to find out the conditions for creating the necessary database systems and to model the operation of linear-circular transformation databases.
