Description of the research topic:

Behavioural economics applies an approach that includes assumptions for individuals’ features as real as possible, taking into consideration the psychological background of economic decision-making and behaviour. Focusing on individuals’ motivations, factors influencing their decisions and their utility-maximization, among others the following fields can be researched related to behavioural economics regarding consumption: interdependent preferences, relative consumption, interpersonal effects influencing consumption, social externalities, uncertainty and risk arising during consumer decision-making, projection bias and intertemporal choices related to consumption.
