Description of the research topic:

In the framework of this complex topic the applicants can join to research projects directed to development of methodology for tracing and assesment potentially toxic element pollution in soil/water/sediment/atmosphere system. Element speciation analytical methods can be developed for environmental samples (soil, sediment, water, atmospheric aerosols, wastes, etc.) and sample preparation-extraction techniques can be elaborated and validated in the following fields:
1. Coupling of element specific spectrochemical methods with separation methods for determination of elemental species of metals, metalloids and nonmetals in environmental systems. (Co-superviser: Dr.Horváth Márk.)
2. Elaboration and validation of new type sequential extraction procedures for fractionation and speciation analysis of potentially toxic element content of soils and aquatic sediments. (Co-superviser: Dr.Halász Gábor.)
3. Characterization of environmental mobility of PTE contamination in the soil/water(biofilm)/sediment/atmosphere system by sequential extraction methods and multielemental spectrochemical element detection. (Co-supervisers: Kruppiné Dr.Fekete Ilona, Dr.Horváth Márk.)
