Description of the research topic:

Investigation of the encounter between individuals and groups from different cultures and the psychological and cultural changes as a consequence of the encounter. Factors influencing these changes. Acculturation strategies. Attitudes of the larger society: perceived threat and contributions, enrichment from ethnocultural and migrant groups. Identity construction and identity changes during acculturation. Bi- and multicultural identity.
