Description of the research topic:
Along with the advancing globalization the role of foreign direct investments has rapidly growing both in the world economy and in the national economies. Since the economic and financial crisis of 2008-2009 transactions of companies, especially the multinationals with the view of loss minimization and tax-evasion have significantly increased.
The goal of the research is to analyze the spatial character and time factors of this – many times less transparent – phenomenon. The examination of capital flows and the changes in corporate capital stocks in the advanced and the underdeveloped/lagging regions (or developed and developing countries) belongs to the research. The research can be comprehensive analysis or tailored to specific sectors or business organizations. The comparative analysis should focus on the characteristics of the relationship – if any – between the capital stocks and movements and the changes in the level of economic and social development of the respective countries and regions.
