Description of the research topic:
This PhD research will focus on the role of effective LED (Local Economic Development) framework to meet directly the requirements of local people and the effect of local business and enterprises in developing rural areas. The research will focus on several case studies while comparing good examples of neighboring countries. From previous research on LEADER programme and role of Local Action Groups, it was realized that there cannot be an inclusive sustainable local economic development without effective Local Economic Planning which up till date, there is no specific research nor conceptual framework on this with respect to Kosovo.
