Description of the research topic:

Justification of the research topic:
The topicality of the subject is convincingly demonstrated by the fact that the high number of casualties and injuries in major industrial accidents as well as the natural disasters that strike in the vicinity of residential areas are primarily caused by negligence of the dangerous establishments in prevention, proper safety documentation and its compliance. Furthermore, due to the adoption of the relevant EU legislation in Hungary, the requirements of the safety documents in dangerous establishments were regulated in various laws and decrees, yet scientifically justified methods and procedures have not been developed for consequence analysis and risk assessment.

Objectives:
To analyse the applicability of methods found in specialist literature (,etc.), to analyse safety documents.
To develop goal-oriented methods and procedures that are in line with the EU requirements and the authority needs in Hungary.
Critical comparison of the recommended methods and procedures to the safety analyses and reports approved by the authority.

Research methods:
Data collection, specialist literature, comparison of software results, analysis of field measurements.
