Description of the research topic:

Justification of the research topic:
A more and more increasingly important precondition of successful and efficient functioning of military and defence sphere organizations is the utilization of IT capabilities, systems, applications, and devices. Continuous, rapid development in information technology requires the research of technical requirements, conditions, and feasibilities of military IT solutions.

Objectives:
The objective of the research is to determine technical requirements, required capabilities and services of IT systems, application, and devices applicable in the armed forces, and the defence sphere; to explore, comparatively analyse and evaluate the possible technical solutions; and to propose solutions in a given (selected) application area.

Research methods:
Analysis of doctrines, regulations, and assessments, exploration, and evaluation of the user requirements, and operational experiences related to the given application area. Exploration of the possible technical solutions, and their problem-oriented, comparative evaluation. Development of conclusions, and proposals related to the possible solutions.
